1963-'67: Budapesti Képző-és Iparművészeti Gimnázium. 1967-'73: Magyar Képzőművészeti Főiskola. 1974-től 2011-ig tanít a Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetemen, 1986-tól önálló festő osztály. 1979-től adjunktus, 1980- Velencei Biennálé. 1980 -Munkácsy-díj, 1986-tól egyetemi docens. 2018 - Pro Urbe Csongrád díj.

2000-ben doktori fokozat a Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetemen, 2004-ben ugyanitt habilitáció.

2005-'07. Szeged, JGYPK Rajz Tanszék tudományos főmunkatárs.

2007. Vásárhelyi Őszi Tárlat: Tornyai-plakett. 2010. Magyar Köztársasági Arany Érdemkereszt.

1974 óta több száz egyéni és csoportos kiállításon vettem részt, Magyarországtól az Egyesült Államokig.

2011 óta vezetem a (saját alapítású) NaN-art Rajz- Tanoda és Grafikai Műhely festészeti és rajzi kurzusait.

Az utóbbi évek vertikális képépítő motívumai között - a "Létoszlop", a "Fűkatedrálisok", a "Tájmetszetek" - megjelent egy tárgyias elem, a "bárány", amely vágyaim szerint, de történetileg is, a tisztaság, az őszinteség, a szeretet és az áldozatvállalás nemes tartalom hordozója.

GÁBOR NAGY artist (Budapest, 1949)

1963-'67: Training School for the Hungarian University of Fine Arts Secondary School of Visual Arts. 1967-'73: Hungarian Collage of Fine Arts. From 1974 till 2011 profess on the a Hungarian University of Fine Arts, since 1986 individual painting class. Since 1979 assistant professor, 1980- Velence Biennial. 1980 -Munkácsy-Prize, Since 1986 associate professor.

In 2000 DLA grade at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, in 2004 at the same place habilitation.

2005-'07. Szeged, JGYPK Drawing Professorship academic main colleague.

Since 1974 I participated hundreds of individual and group exhibitions, from Hungary to the United States. Since 2011 I lead the (self founded)

NaN-art Rajz- Study Hall and Graphic Worksop's painting and graphic courses.

Between the vertical formed motifs in the last years - the "Existence Column", the "Grass Cathedrals", the "Land Segments" - showed up an objective element, the "lamb", which after my desire, but historically too, is the carrier of cleanness, sincerity, love and sacrifice content. Gábor Nagy
